Letter to the Editor: Alternatives to Dame Shirley Plaza
I am strongly opposed to converting Dame Shirley Park from Quincy’s welcoming green space and gorgeous “sense of entry” to a Courthouse building site. I fear it will be a regrettable decision to future generations.
Unfortunately the “decision makers,” after careful and agonizing deliberation, have concluded the Park is the best alternative. But what if either the Harlem Club property or the Feather River Bulletin property became available after recent events? Although not county-owned properties, perhaps they are worthy of consideration.
