Letter to the Editor: Angel Program thanks all who made it a success

The Eastern Plumas Angel Program would like to thank the following people and organizations for their support during our 11th year of providing gifts for children in need: Plumas County Sheriff’s Department, Holy Family Catholic Church, Walmart, Barnes & Nobel, Portola Family Resource Center, Plumas Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative, Graeagle Market, Mohawk Community Resource Center, Jan Tew, 7-11, Feather River Co-op, Leonard’s Market, Plumas Bank AND the incredible generosity of our citizens who purchased gifts for the children! We were able to provide 183 children with a book, toys and a new jacket.

EPCAN (Eastern Plumas Community Assistance Network) our local food bank was also able to provide a holiday meal for 118 families. Thank you to Quincy Safeway, Sav-Mor, Leonard’s Market, all the volunteers and Graeagle Lions Club members who assembled and packaged the meals for distribution.
