Our community is wonderful, helping each other navigate through this abundance of snow.
That being said, I’d like to plead with drivers to be more cautious and alert. I’ve had to walk around town a lot. I’ve been splashed with slush a number of times by drivers going too fast.
I’ve been halfway across Main Street because a driver has stopped for me in the crosswalk – only to have a vehicle go right through in the far lane.
Many two-way roads are now only one lane. Please, drivers, be alert and courteous to those who have to walk. Be sure you can see around berms before pulling out or turning.
And pedestrians…be careful, don’t assume drivers can see you!
