Letter to the Editor: I have some questions

Questions for EPHC (Eastern Plumas Health Care)Board Members,
In response to information provided to the community from your latest board meeting,  I have three questions, based on this information. Highly vaccinated Israel is seeing a dramatic surge in New Covid cases( 78% of 12 and older are fully vaccinated) the vast majority have been vaccinated with the Pfizer vaccine. Our own beloved CDC has said fully vaccinated people who get Covid breakthrough infection can transmit the virus. CDC director Rochelle Walensky has said recent studies have shown that those vaccinated individuals who do become infected with Covid have just as much viral load as the unvaccinated making it possible for them to spread the virus to others. Connecticut Public health reports more than 7000 breakthrough cases and 53 deaths, Massachusetts over 15,000 breakthrough cases and 131 deaths as an example. My questions are:  In reqards  to your policy for visiting residents, why are you only requiring a negative covid test for the unvaccinated or partially vaccinated, if vaccinated individuals can still spread the virus and have just as high of a viral load once infected? Why are you testing unvaccinated staff twice per week and vaccinated only once since they can both spread the virus?

Regarding Pfizer Vaccine,  the FDA approved the biologics license application for the Pfizer “Comirnaty” vaccine, but decreed that the Pfizer BioNtec vaccine under the EUA should remain unlicensed but can be used “interchangeably” with the newly licensed Comirnaty product. The FDA  pointed out that the two are “legally distinct”. There is a huge real-world difference between products approved under EUA compared with those the FDA has fully licensed.  EUA products are experimental under U.S. Law. Both the Nuremberg code and federal regulations provide that no one can force a human being to participate in this experiment. Under 21 U.S. Code Sec.360 bbb-3(e)(i)(a)(ii)(lll)” authorization for medical products for use in emergencies “it is unlawful to deny someone a job or an education because they refuse to be an experimental subject. Instead potential recipients have an absolute right to refuse EUA vaccines. My questions is- Do you have supplies of the Pfizer “Comirnaty” vaccine or just the Pfizer BioNtech vaccine that is still only authorized under the EUA?

Your response is appreciated.  Thank you and your staff for all your hard work and services you provide.
