Letter to the Editor: Just a bad apple

I am not voting for a president who will not tell the country how serious the pandemic is because he doesn’t want to have us to panic. How incompetent does he think we are? Like chicken little the sky is falling, the sky is falling!  He shows us a great disrespect by lying to us even when he knows we know he is lying. His slander and name calling are an embarrassment to the party and the country.

His great trade deal with China brought in $83.9 billion more in goods to the U.S. than the U.S. shipped out.

He uses the tools of the government against his political enemies. Asking Attorney General Barr to indict former President Barack Obama and Democratic nominee Joe Biden for alleging an investigation into links between his campaign and Russia. The only comparison for this kind of authoritarian behavior is to leaders with names like Putin, Xi, and Erdogan.

Trump states that everybody well get vaccinated quickly once the vaccines are available. But there was no mentioning of any monitoring of the effects of the shots. Last year he disbanded the National Vaccine Program Office, which was dedicated to monitoring the long-term safety of vaccines. I am proud of my country, but this guy does us no justice. Every once in while you get a bad apple and this guy is in for for own enrichment not the country’s.
