Library offers children program in Quincy; free activity bags in Quincy and Portola

The Plumas County Library is offering families displaced due to the Dixie Fire the opportunity to use the computers to work on needed documents, while the children enjoy a program designed for them: Aug. 9 – Aug. 13 at the Quincy Branch  from 10 a.m. to – noon.  Or just use this time to charge devices and take a breather.

Monday August 9th: Learn the basics of coding and how to decode secret messages!

Tuesday August 10th: Come try the wonderful art of folding colorful paper, origami.

Wednesday August 11th: Control your own Ozobot as we learn how to program!

Thursday August 12th: Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! Let’s craft our own paper animal masks and clay models.

Friday August 13th: Game Day!

The library will also have activity bags available at the Quincy and Portola Branches – these are bags with fiction books, activity books (while supplies last; we are getting more), markers or color pencils, and activity sheets. They are divided by age groups and cover babies to adults.
