Life Tributes for the week of 3/11/20

Jospeh E. Jeffreys Jr.

Joseph E. Jeffreys Jr., 89 years old, passed away quietly with his wife at his side on March 4, 2020, in Northern Nevada Medical Center In Reno, Nevada. He was born to Joseph and Kathryn Jeffreys in 1930 in Los Angeles.

Joseph leaves his wife Marie, after 65 years of marriage. He also leaves son, Bradford Jeffreys, of Monmouth, Oregon, and four grandsons and five great-grandchildren. He also leaves one sister, Gertrude Pasqua, of Pomona.

He was preceded in death by his son Douglas Jeffreys, of Quincy.

Joseph served four years in the Navy during the Korean War. He then joined his father in a retail grocery business for 17 years. He then moved from Lake Elsinore to Quincy and was a volunteer tax aide for AARP for 15 years.

At his request no services will be held.

Internment will be in Wildomar Cemetery in Wildomar. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Quincy Library or St. John’s Church.

Robert K. Lentz

Robert K. Lentz “Bob,” was born March 13, 1925. He died Feb. 27, 2020, (You almost made it to 95!).

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Peggy Lentz; three children, Deborah Lang, Robert Michael Lentz, Margo Ormiston (Keven); and two grandchildren, Cyndi Lang and Brad Lang.

Per Bob’s wish, there will be no services.

He wore many hats throughout his life … served in the Navy Seabees, was a WWII veteran, worked as an engineer at General Telephone for over 30 years, enjoyed being an avid ham radio operator and an AKC breed judge and also served on a few committees at Lake Almanor Country Club. You lived a long and full life — love you …
