The 2022 January Longboard Races were a success thanks to the efforts of the Plumas Ski Club and a cadre of volunteers! The course was groomed to perfection, the racers brought their “A game” with  a total of  28 men and 12 women racers.

In addition to the races, Eight Armed Chefs, running the Lost Sierra Grille, were dishing up burgers and dogs; the Intorf Lodge birdhouse (ala PondNesters) was raffled; the Brewing Lair was serving up cold brew and Simply Roots was delivering warm coffee.  We even had a Pooches on the Podium Photo Shoot (look for the dogs of Longboards calendar in the spring!).

Atop the podium were the winners:

Women

1st Place Wendy Antibus
2nd Place “Calamity” Abby Marshall
3rd Place Faith Bardet

Men
1st Place Eric McGrath
2nd Place Jackson Webster
3rd Place Greg Hinds

The next Longboard Race will be held on February 20th at the Plumas Eureka Ski Bowl!  For more information, go to www.plumasskiclub.org and check out our facebook page:  World Championship Longboard Races
