Submitted by Lost Sierra Food Project

Are you looking for a way to give back to your community? Lost Sierra Food Project is looking for new board members for 1 to 2-year terms.

Lost Sierra Food Project’s mission is to increase access to local foods for Plumas County residents, prioritizing low income populations, to provide workforce development programs, and to create educational food and farming opportunities.

We are interested in people with all kinds of skills and backgrounds. Fundraising, capital management, human resources, working with or coming from communities of diverse or disadvantaged backgrounds, and marketing are just some of the areas of expertise we seek. You don’t need any experience growing food!

We invite you to answer the following questions and send them to [email protected]

Provide your name and contact information (email, phone, address)
What is your interest in the food movement or local food access?
What do you see as potential contributions you could bring to the LSFP board (i.e. fundraising, support with grant-writing, event planning, networking, connections to / already working with vulnerable populations, etc?)
What past experience do you have that relates to this position?
Is there anything else you want to share?

A small group of us will interview you once you’ve answered these questions. To find out more, inquire via the email above or visit
