Lower Grizzly Firewise to meet June 24; learn about home hardening measures

This is an invitation to anyone from the public who might be interested in attending the Lower Grizzly Road Firewise Community Annual Educational Event, scheduled for Saturday, June 24, from 4-6 p.m. at Grizzly Creek Ranch, 5900 Grizzly Road Portola CA 96122.

Chris Stanton, the lead for Lower Grizzly Lake Road Firewise, said that attendees will be hearing from Tommy Brenzovich, Mitigation Assistance Program Manager of the Plumas Fire Safe Council, regarding home hardening measures that can be taken to lower fire risk.

“The event will be a potluck affair—we ask that attendees bring some food to share,” Stanton said. “Drinks and refreshments will be provided.”
