Main Street Artists presents Pat Holland; opening reception Feb. 3

February brings new art to Main Street Artists Gallery.  The chill is still the weather pattern as the last Winter Show is presented.  Gratefully, the artists have been hunkered down in their cozy studios creating dreams of warmth and light for your enjoyment.  The First Friday Gallery show will have works from the Gallery Artist Members and a Tiny Room Show by Pat Holland.

Pat Holland, returns to Main Street Artists Gallery with a tight, sweet show in the Tiny Room.  She offers a selection of Lino prints with strong designs that conveys the spirit of Aloha. Pat Holland spent two years in Hawaii, during which she attended workshops on Hawaiian Print Making. She brings that collection together for a glimpse of Island culture in our Plumas county winter.

Being a lifelong learner, and having been a teacher, Pat has an arsenal of arts practices and methods under her command.  The body of her works is a testament to her artistic diversity.  Hopefully, you will be seeing that diversity and creativity on the Gallery walls in the months to come.

Her life is a busy all inclusive event.  That makes time a rare commodity.  Nonetheless, this artist makes time and space, albeit a tiny space at the moment, for art.  Her studio, like her heart, is full.  Full of people, places and an unpredictable Muse that descends upon her at inconvenient times.  She laughed as she shared the frustration of juggling the commitments of life, a new puppy, and a manic Muse.  I asked, “How does all this get done?”  Pat says with a smile, “Because it is oxygen.”
