Memorial benefit dinner planned for Cole Comstock
Cole Comstock, 34, of Blairsden, died in an avalanche at Alpine Meadows the morning of Jan. 17. On Saturday, Feb. 8, the HUB and Graeagle firefighters from the Graeagle Fire Protection District are holding a memorial benefit dinner with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Caitlin Comstock and affected families. Caitlin is Cole’s wife and a Graeagle volunteer firefighter.
The dinner will be held at the Graeagle Fire Hall on Highway 89 in Graeagle at 5:30 p.m. Spaghetti, lasagna, salad, French bread, desserts and drinks prepared by Executive Chef Sean Conry will be offered. A no-host wine bar will be set up by Cuccia’s Restaurant and a no-host beer bar will be provided by The Brewing Lair. A silent auction will also take place.
A suggested donation of $15 per person is requested.
