New scam alert in Plumas
An Intermountain Disposal customer reported being contacted by an individual claiming to be from BofA today. The caller was offering to set up automatic withdrawal payments for the garbage service. The customer called Intermountain Disposal to report the offer. Owner Ricky Ross said that this is a scam and is warning his customers so they don’t become victims and divulge bank account information. Intermountain Disposal is the county’s garbage franchise operator in Eastern Plumas.
