PUBLIC HEARING – NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR APPEAL OF THE ZONING ADMINISTRATOR’S DECISION DENYING SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO RE-ESTABLISH A LAWFUL NONCONFORMING USE (U 5-21/22-10) AT 56 HARBISON AVENUE, QUINCY APPEAL FILED BY SARK AND ALINE ANTARAMIAN (APPELLANT)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Plumas County Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on November 29, 2022, at 10:00AM at 520 Main Street, Room 308, Board of Supervisors Chambers to discuss the appeal filed as per Article 10 of Chapter 2 of Title 9 (Planning and Zoning) of the Plumas County Code.
This is an appeal of the Zoning Administrator decision of October 12, 2022. More specifically, the appellant is appealing the denial of the special use permit based on the lack of evidence the second story was used as a separate residence (dwelling unit) prior to March 8, 1980, when the parcel zoning was changed to disallow two (2) one-family dwelling units.
From Appellant’s Statement of the Reasons for the Appeal:
“The surrounding properties are residential in construction and the use of the properties are the same. The County has an acute shortage of housing and this property [illegible] the need [illegible] [illegible] above.”
From Appellant’s Summation of the Arguments to be Raised by the Appellant:
“The County lacks inventory for residential housing. This property was permitted in 1983 for a second story residential unit. The property was built as a single-story residence prior to the second story addition.”
