Opening of barn quilts show featured at Crescent Country
Crescent Country is featuring Debbie Senter as “Artist of the Month” with an opening scheduled Saturday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 5 p.m., to showcase her barn quilts.
Senter has lived in Plumas County for most of the past 57 years and began painting barn quilts after she retired from Feather River College in 2007.
“Seeing all the beautiful examples [of barn quilts] found in Plumas County and beyond, [makes me] feel truly blessed to have found my favorite way to express my creative desires,” said Senter.
Her husband, Guy Senter of Pacific Crest Furniture Co., builds the frames on some of her creations.
“Some of my barn quilts are inspired by quilt square designs, some are designs I have created, while others have been inspired by the beautiful barn quilts on display around our area and beyond,” said Senter.
She also enjoys making custom barn quilts for clients. The show will be up for a month.
