PAWS volunteers and kitties thank you

By Louise DeLaney

Director (PAWS)

The volunteers and kitties of PAWS (Plumas Animal Welfare Society) would like to thank those who sent in monetary donations, supply donations and attended our Open House in December.  Thank you to Amber Donnelly with Century 21 and Loyalton Elementary School fifth-graders for the decorated and personalized Christmas stockings for the kitties. Without your generous and caring hearts, we could not exist and save the lives of so many beautiful kittens and cats.

We know that spay and neutering is the answer to reducing the number of abandoned and homeless cates in our county. We are so very thankful for the opportunity to be here for the cats we cherish and hope to make an even greater difference in future years.

With your help, PAWS was able to rescue, spay/neuter and give medical help to those kitties that came through our doors in 2022. We adopted out 132 cats this past 2022.  Also, a huge thank you to those that continued to give and donate supplies while we went through a very rough time with COVID for the last couple of years. We are still here due to your generosity!

PAWS is a 501©3 non-profit corporation and all your donations are tax deductible.  All donations are greatly appreciated and go directly to the kitties as our staff is all volunteers. Donations can be made by mail to PAWS, PO Box 125, Quincy, CA 95971 or visiting in person: 2453 E. Main Street, Quincy, CA 95971.

There are several other ways you can donate to PAWS. When you are ordering from Amazon, PAWS is on Amazon Smile! You can set your charity settings by visiting Smile.Amazon.com. Each quarter a percentage of your purchases on Amazon will be donated to PAWS. What a fantastic way to donate, you shop, and Amazon gives to PAWS.

PAWS also has a wish list on Chewy.com where you can order food and supplies and have them delivered right to PAWS doorstep.

Please help us to continue to make a difference in the future. Thank you and much happiness to you all in the year 2023!
