PCOE Foundation seeking applicants directors; help allocate $2 million PG&E settlement

Interested individuals are being asked to apply for a seat on the newly established Board of Directors for the Plumas County Office of Education Foundation. The Foundation will be the vehicle for which the recent $2 million PG&E settlement will be allocated to programs and students in support of Dixie Fire recovery efforts. The Foundation, which was formed at the end of 2022, will meet monthly.
According to the bylaws, the Board shall consist of three Directors unless changed by an amendment. They would include the Deputy Superintendent Business Services of the Plumas County Office of Education (the “Plumas COE”) and District, the Assistant Superintendent of the Plumas COE and District, and the Plumas Charter School Director. They would hold for office as long as they are in their respective positions. Currently Lisa Cavin, business services; Kristy Warren, assistant superintendent; and Taletha Washburn, Plumas Charter director are listed as the directors. 
Additionally, the foundation is seeking three directors to represent the various areas of the county.
One seat is open in each the following communities:
• Portola – one member
• Indian Valley – one member
• Chester – one member
