Pedestrian hit by car receives major injuries
A 32-year-old Quincy man, Jesse Lovins, received major injuries when he was hit on Highway 70 near the fairgrounds on Dec. 11.
According to the CHP report released today, Jackie Fogleman, 53, also of Quincy, was driving a 1998 Honda westbound on Highway 70 at 5:23 p.m. just east of Fairgrounds Road in the right most traffic lane. Lovins was walking northbound across the roadway in a poorly lit area with oncoming traffic. Fogleman’s vehicle struck Lovins who sustained major injuries. He was transported to Plumas District Hospital. The collision is still under investigagtion.
