Plane swerves off runway
A plane landed at Nervino Airport in Beckwourth this morning, Feb. 14, and then swerved off the runway and came to a stop facing the hangars along Highway 70. Care Flight, which is based at the airport, immediately responded. The male pilot, who was conscious and talking, was transported to Renown in Reno. According to Beckwourth Fire Chief Greg McCaffrey, who was at the scene, there were no passengers. The incident left debris that stretched about 100 yards.
