A new member of the Plumas County Planning Commission is needed.
Due to medical reasons, Dr. Robert Abbott of District 1 has not been able to attend meetings for months.
Abbott submitted a letter stating he must resign from the commission Nov. 7.
That letter was accepted during the commission’s meeting.
Currently the Plumas County Board of Supervisors is awaiting an appointment to District 1. Supervisor Michael Sanchez resigned his seat in District 1 due to health reasons this summer.
Therefore, until that vacancy is filled there is no one to fill the position on the commission.
