Plumas County Public Health announced this afternoon, Oct. 26, that over the weekend it received notification of two positive COVID-19 test results for residents in the Southern Region (American Valley) region which are NOs. 69 and 70. The positive residents are members of the same household. These cases appear to be related to traveling, which was determined during the contact tracing investigation. If an exposed resident is identified during the investigation, the resident will be contacted by a member of the Public Health COVID-19 Response Team for further screening
These latest cases bring the total case count to date to 70, with 12 active cases.
Last week, Public Health announced 14 new cases.
