Plumas Arts introduces Wine in the Woods, replaces Taste of Plumas

Plumas Arts is excited to present our new spring fundraiser Wine in the Woods. After many wonderful years, Plumas Arts has decided to move away from Taste of Plumas and institute this brand-new event.

Come sample some of the best culinary establishments in Plumas County and taste delicious wines all in one beautiful location at a festive community gathering. Small bites, wine tasting, and live music are all included in the experience. The Wine in the Woods event will take place on Sunday, May 21, from 2-5 p.m. and will be hosted in Greenville at Wild Plumas Glamping site.

Wild Plumas is a 50-acre private ‘Glamorous Campground’ located in Greenville, that offers secluded sites and safari-style tents so you can rest, renew, and reconnect. They are a small family-run operation committed to the preservation and protection of this land. During the event, grounds will be open to patrons to enjoy and take in the sights.

Enjoy live music performed by the California based band, Allison and Victor Trio with Bruce Calin on double bass. Allison Scull and Victor Martin combine musical styles, including jazz, folk, and blues, to create a unique combination of singer-songwriter sounds with the mellow, but powerful, saxophone.

Event attendees have the option to stay overnight at Wild Plumas after the event. Wild Plumas glamorous tent sites are available to rent for the evening with additional camper and personal tent sites also available. Reservations required and space is limited. Contact Plumas Arts for all overnight reservations at (530) 283-3402.

General Admission is $50 per person for this event and includes one souvenir wine glass for attendees to take home and the opportunity to savor samplings from all participants. Tickets are on sale now and are available by visiting plumasarts.org or at the Plumas Arts Gallery located at 525 Main Street in Quincy.

All proceeds from Wine in the Woods go to benefit Plumas Arts, the county’s most active and resourceful cultural organization with a diversity of programs that serve our area with arts education programs, gallery of resident artist’s work as well as producing and co-producing many of the performances and cultural events across the county and providing information and support for artists and events across the county.

If you are a local culinary artist or business that would like to be involved in the event, contact Courtney at [email protected]. For additional information visit plumasarts.org or contact Plumas Arts at (530) 283-3402.
