Plumas Arts presents annual Almanor Art Show this weekend

Plumas Arts is pleased to present the 52nd annual Almanor Art Show, coming to Chester this weekend, on Saturday, June 24th and Sunday, June 25th.

Taking place on the spacious Collins Pine Lawn, show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. Admission to the event is free, allowing you to spend your money on quality items made by the artists and professional crafters. Food will be available to purchase all weekend from local food trucks: Fiesta Fresh Grill, Bakers Choice Kettle Corn, and drinks from Get Roasted Coffee Shop, along with several artisan food makers, with some that can be enjoyed right at the show while you shop.

With over 45 booths, come explore a variety of artists that create beautiful and unique works such as paintings, ceramic art, glass work, metal work, woodworking, photography, and printmaking. You will also find an array of jewelry, fabric art, solar crafts, body products, high quality wood furniture, hand spun and died yarn, artisan foods, and more. Items will be available for purchase directly from the artists and vendors during the show.

Enjoy a dance performance around lunch on Saturday by Susanville’s own J&J Performing Arts. This local studio offers many different styles of dance, acrobatics, and tumbling to individuals of all ages in Lassen County.

Sunday, Plumas Arts is excited to host local vocalist Suzanne de Martimprey, who will be performing on and off during the day. Suzanne is a folk-inspired singer songwriter who has been writing for over 10 years. Lyrically, her original music explores the realms of love and loss, utilizing haunting melodies and soul stirring rhythms. While she has been professionally trained in many different styles of vocal performance, she is entirely self-taught on the guitar.

Plumas Arts has coordinated the Almanor Art Show for many decades and thanks the Collins Pine Company for their continued support in providing space for theevent to grow.   • I am really glad to see this event being continued, and presented so well by Plumas Arts. Hats of to Kara Rockett-Arsenault for her outstanding leadership of our most effective county-wide arts support system.

  • Kara Rockett-Arsenault has really done a terrific job of the Friday Night Art Walk Openings and all the other events Plumas Arts supports. We are lucky to have her in this position.
