Plumas Bank opens new branch in Chico

Plumas Bank, a community bank serving communities across Northeastern California and Northern Nevada, opened its fifteenth branch location  in Chico on April 24. With a long history of investment in the region, Plumas Bank is dedicated to serving small businesses, agricultural operations and local families through relationship-based banking services.

In 2014, the bank opened a loan production office in Chico. With the expansion to a full-service branch, it was important to introduce a banking team that understands the needs of the community and its clients. Chico banking leader, Ian Macmillan, has joined the Plumas Bank team as vice president, branch manager/business advisor for the new location. He brings 10 years of financial services experience in Chico.

Macmillan joins David McAlister, vice president, commercial/Ag lender, and Kevin Kaiser, senior vice president/credit administrator, at the new location. The building will house 10 Plumas Bank team members.

“With our commercial and agriculture loan production office located in Chico, it was a natural fit to expand with a new branch location in the area,” says President and CEO of Plumas Bank and Plumas Bancorp Andrew J. Ryback. “We are committed to our investment in the Chico area and look forward to serving the community through personalized banking services.”

Innovative Banking Experience and Community Spaces

Plumas Bank’s Chico location offers a modern banking model that not only flips the traditional bank experience of teller lines and one-sided transactions, but intentionally puts customer relationships at the forefront of every interaction. In a comfortable, welcoming meeting space environment, banking advisors will meet one-on-one with clients to learn about their business needs and goals to offer customized solutions. Complimentary conference space is open to local non-profits, business associations and clients.

Location and Revitalization

The Chico branch is located at 900 Mangrove Avenue. The company renovated a property built in 1977. The 5,600-square-foot establishment was thoughtfully redesigned by Chico firms Holt Construction, RGA architects and Zanna Fuller Design. They focused on green-friendly upgrades to create Plumas Bank’s most environmentally conscious remodel to date. Features include low-water-usage landscaping, solar panels, energy-efficient metal roofing, LED lighting, energy-efficient HVAC and appliances, low VOC paint, carpet and flooring, as well as flooring made from recyclable materials.
