Plumas COVID cases continue to fall — down to 14 in past 7 days

The Public County Public Health Agency is reporting today, Feb. 22, that the county has reported 14 cases in the past seven days, with 30 individuals in isolation and zero hospitalizations at this time. Compare that to less than a month ago, when on Jan. 27, Public Health reported 182 cases in the past seven days, with 324 individuals in isolation and five hospitalized.

Public Health Director Dana Loomis said the downward trend in cases continues and is positive news for the county. For the time being, Public Health will continue to report numbers, though there may come a time when that practice comes to an end. Loomis said it will be interesting to see what happens with the latest variant that has emerged, but is hopeful.
