Plumas District Hospital unveils new mobile clinic; see it in the parade Saturday

Plumas District Hospital announced the the launch of its state-of-the-art mobile clinic, an initiative made possible through generous grant funding. This mobile clinic is set to improve healthcare accessibility in the communities, providing a wide range of medical services with convenience and versatility.

The mobile clinic has two fully-equipped exam rooms. It also features refrigeration facilities for medications and specimen samples, ensuring seamless handling of vital medical resources. Moreover, the clinic is designed with inclusivity in mind, outfitted with bathroom and handicap access to accommodate patient needs.

The mobile clinic will be able to provide office visit services for family medicine. In addition to its regular services, the mobile clinic is purposefully equipped to serve as a critical support system during disaster-related and pandemic events.

The community will have an opportunity to see the clinic for the first time during the Plumas County Fair Parade, on Saturday, July 29, in Quincy. The parade gets underway at 10 a.m.
