Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative offers all expenses paid trip to Washington, D.C. for area youth

Area high school sophomores, juniors and seniors have the opportunity to win an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, D.C., as part of Plumas-Sierra Rural Electric Cooperative’s (PSREC) youth education enrichment programs.

The lucky winner will join high school students from across the nation to tour Washington, D.C., from Saturday, June 17 through Friday, June 23, 2023. They will learn more about how government works, visit the Smithsonian Institute, Arlington National Cemetery, Capitol Hill, the Sunset Parade at the Marine Corps War Memorial, and more.

To qualify, a high school sophomore, junior or senior’s primary residence in Plumas, Lassen, Sierra or Washoe counties must be supplied with either electric power through PSREC, or Internet service through Plumas-Sierra Telecommunications.

An application form for the 2023 Rural Electric Youth Tour to Washington, D.C., is available to download from the PSREC website at www.psrec.coop, or by calling (530) 832-4261.

Applications must be returned to PSREC by Friday January 13, 2023.
