Plumas Youth Undivided invites public to a Pride event this Friday at the courthouse

Plumas Youth Undivided is hosting a pride event on Friday, June 24, from 4-7 p.m. and invites the public to attend the all-inclusive event in downtown Quincy in front of the courthouse on 520 Main St.

Community organizations are coming together to bring activities, education, and spirit to Pride Month in Quincy. Booths that will be present are Carey Candy Co with shaved ice, Alcohol and Drug Prevention, Tobacco Use Reduction, Hook and Heart, Gay-Straight Alliance, Harm Reduction, Blue Cross Anthem, Eternity Hair, and Quircus! There will be lots of free giveaways (while supplies last) such as Pride grab bags, T-shirts, mental health journals, and more!

Plumas Youth Undivided (PYU) is a youth program facilitated by the Alcohol and Drug Prevention program at Plumas County Public Health Agency. This program is open to all Plumas County students ages 13-18. PYU has previously hosted events such as Movie Night, Board Game Night, Safe Trick or Treat, participated at the Children’s Fair, Take Down Tobacco, and Drug Take-Back Day!

Their Mission: To create an inclusive space where teens are valued, safe, and supported to pursue their goals while developing leadership skills to promote a happy, healthy lifestyle and community.

Their Vision: Create a world where youth and adults learn and work together to create positive, lasting impacts.
