Portola schools closed today; others on 2-hour delay for now UPDATED
UPDATE: Schools in Chester, Indian Valley and Quincy will be on a two-hour delayed start.
Due to road closures and evacuation warnings in Eastern Plumas, C. Roy Carmichael Elementary and Portola Junior Senior High School will be closed today, March 14.
All other Plumas Unified District schools will be on a two-hour delay so that road conditions can be evaluated throughout the county.
A winter storm warning remains in effect for the county.
