Postal Service makes it official — Crescent Mills customers go to Quincy

Crescent Mills P.O. Box customers had already been told to pick up their mail in Quincy following last week’s truck versus post office incident, but the U.S. Postal Service issued a formal release today, Dec. 20.  “P.O. Box customers of the Crescent Mills Post Office must pick up their mail at the Quincy Post office, due to the damage caused by a vehicle crashing into the building early Friday morning,” it read.

The Dec. 17 incident did not cause any injuries but did cause extensive damage to the exterior and interior of the building located at 15711 Main Street. The truck’s driver slid on the icy roadway driving into town.

Customers are asked to pick-up their mail at the Quincy Post Office, located at 222 Lawrence St, Quincy, CA 95971, Mon-Fri. 8:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., until all repairs are completed.

Customers are instructed to provide valid photo ID for all mail pick-up.
