Public invited to meeting on the West Lassen Headwaters Project

Sierra Institute for Community and Environment, in partnership with the Lassen National Forest and Lassen Volcanic National Park, invites the communities of Mineral, Mill Creek, and surrounding areas, to join the group on Saturday, June 10, for a public meeting on the West Lassen Headwaters Project (see map below). The meeting will be held from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. at the Lassen National Park Headquarters in the Conference Room.

The West Lassen Headwaters Project is a 172,000-acre landscape restoration project spanning portions of the National Park, Lassen National Forest, and private lands focused on improving forest resilience, restoring watershed health, and protecting communities from wildfire. All community members are encouraged to attend! Come learn more about the project, ask questions, and provide feedback.
