Public Notice for Workshop and Public Hearing, NSAQMD Rule 230 (Architectural Coatings)

The Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District will host a public workshop to present, discuss, and receive feedback on development of the District’s Rule 230, Architectural Coatings. You are encouraged to attend and participate. This proposed rule applies to whomever supplies, sells, offers for sale, or manufactures architectural coatings. This proposed rule is a contingency measure for the western Nevada County 8-Hour Ozone State Implementation Plan and will only be implemented if the U.S. EPA determines that the area fails to satisfy an RFP milestone or attainment deadline.

The public workshop will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 13, 2023. The workshop may be attended in person at the District’s office located at 200 Litton Drive, Suite 316, Grass Valley CA 95945. In case of cancellation, the workshop will be held in the same location and time on February 20, 2023.   Written comments may be submitted to the District at the workshop or emailed to the Northern Sierra Air Quality Management District at [email protected], but must be received before the end of the business day, February 10, 2023.

For further information, the District will conduct a public hearing during the NSAQMD Board of Directors meeting on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 1:00 PM at 200 Litton Dr., Suite 316, Grass Valley, CA 95945 to consider adoption of the proposed rule.  In case of cancellation, the public hearing will be held at the same time and locations on Monday, March 27, 2023.
