PUSD announces 5 more COVID cases; closes another classroom
Plumas Unified School District announced positive test results for five more individuals today, Jan. 7. The new cases have resulted in the closure of another classroom and another group of students were sent home.
This week a second-grade class at the Pioneer Campus of Quincy Elementary School was closed, and beginning Jan. 10, one classroom at Chester Elementary will be closed. Additionally students were sent home today at Taylorsville Elementary due to close contacts.

Thursday, Jan. 6
- C. Roy Carmichael Elementary School in Portola – 1 case
Friday, Jan. 7
- C. Roy Carmichael Elementary School in Portola – 1 case
- Portola JS High School – 1 case
- Chester Elementary School – 1 case
- Close one classroom beginning Monday, Jan. 10
- Taylorsville Elementary School – 1 case
- Sent a group of students home due to close contacts
