QHS principal resigns; Greenville principal will assume that position

Quincy Junior Senior High School Principal Tom Brown submitted a letter of resignation to Plumas Unified School District effective Jan. 14, 2022.

“Principal Brown’s decision is based on what is best for his family and we all understand that family needs change over time,” said Plumas Unified Superintendent Terry Oestreich in a memo to staff.  “On behalf of our Trustees and Cabinet, we appreciate Principal Brown’s service over the past two challenging years and wish him and his family all the best as he transitions to South Lake Tahoe Middle School.”

As a result of Brown’s departure, Jennifer Scheel, who is the principal for the Greenville schools, will assume responsibility as the new QJSHS Principal beginning Tuesday, Jan.18.

The district will now seek to recruit a new principal for the  Greenville schools.
