QHS seniors paint their parking spaces

By Meg Upton

It’s a tradition that hasn’t happened in quite a few years, but the Quincy High School Class of 2022 got the opportunity to paint their assigned parking spaces in the gym parking lot on Wednesday, Sept. 1 in anticipation of the coming school year.

Quincy Paint Center offered the incoming seniors a discount on paint and supplies to do the job.

No one seems to remember the exact year seniors last painted spaces; we welcome readers’ recollections of this.

For seniors, it was a great gesture of getting back some of their high school traditions ravished by COVID and fire. Spaces were a fundraiser for the senior class and went for $20 a space.
