QHS students enjoy Monte Carlo-themed prom

It was a night of dancing and games for Quincy High School students who attended the 2023 prom on May 13 with its Monte Carlo theme. In all 43 couples and one trio attended the annual event.

The evening began with the traditional promenade up the red carpet into the Plumas County courthouse, with friends, family and community members turning out to view the couples as they exited classic cars.

Once inside, prom goers could have their photos taken, play casino-themed games on the second floor, or dance to the music on the first. Julia McCarva was crowned prom queen and Iynell Thomas was crowned prom king. Following is a list of all of the awards:

Prom King – Iynell Thomas
Prom Queen – Julia McGarva
Best Dressed – Iynell Thomas and Molly Yates
Cutest Couple – Jayden Walker and Joey Palmer
Life of the Party – Hailey Venuti
Best Dancer – Bodhi O’brien and Tatum Hughes
Spongebob and Patrick – Aidan Powers and Dylan Miller
