Quilts featured in many local businesses

In preparations leading up to the Cabin Fever Quilt Guild’s 27th annual Quilt Show, to be held on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 and 28, merchants in Portola and Blairsden/Graeagle will be displaying quilts in their businesses.

Participating businesses in Portola in this year’s quilt walk include the Williams House Museum, Feather River Food Co-op, Tangles, Addie’s Floral Cottage, Sanford Chiropractic, Krissy’s Korner, Park Place Salon. Homestead Fabrics and Blue Petunia Gifts and Fabrics.

Locations to visit in the Graeagle area include Millworks, Eco Centric, Graeagle Mercantile, Graeagle Restaurant, Millie’s Chocolates, Feathers, Graeagle Lighting, Gumba’s Family Pizza, Ascend Pilates, Mama Fig and the Hair House.

The patriotic Stars, Stripes and Quilts themed quilt show will be held at Father Burns Parish Hall, 100 S. Pine St. in Portola, with quilted works of art new and old, large and small.
