Please join us as Hannah Hepner returns as guest speaker at our July 26th Quincy Firewise Community meeting.  Hannah is the Program Director for the Plumas County Fire Safe Council (PCFSC).  Since coming on as Program Coordinator in 2016, she has developed and led the many programs that the PCFSC offers today to Plumas County residents. During her tenure, Hannah has co founded the Plumas Underburn Cooperative (PUC), the community chipping program, coordinated the Incident Management Team that delivers Plumas Cal-TREX prescribed fire training exchanges, and secured funding to develop a firewood processing facility. Hannah has also coordinated numerous small and large scale hazardous fuel reduction projects throughout Plumas County.  Hannah’s work can be characterized as wise, strategic and highly collaborative. She has established strong relationships with the Plumas National Forest, Feather River Resource Conservation District, UC Cooperative Extension, CalFire, and local volunteer fire departments.

We can look forward to hearing from Hannah about completed, current, and future hazardous fuel reduction projects, the new firewood processing plant, and her growing number of staff members and the work they are doing to fulfill the mission of the PCFSC: To reduce the loss of natural resources and human values caused by wildfire through Firewise community programs and pre-fire activities.

Please join us at the West End Theatre inside Quintopia on Wednesday, July 26, at 5 p.m. We ask our regular attendees to invite a friend or neighbor as we extend a special invitation to our fellow Firesafe Community members throughout Plumas County. We will also have our monthly pine needle rake raffle!  See you there.
