At the annual Rotary Demotion Dinner held Monday, June 26, Rotarians bid a fond farewell and thank you to President Darren Beatty while new President Lisa Kelly zoomed in from Mexico. Emcee Jim Boland roasted Beatty, with Karen Pierson and Beth Reid serenading the former Marine with a lip-synch to “Soldier Boy” and Johnny Mansell and Steve Hill providing a comedy skit. The well attended event brought together members, spouses, friends, and family who feasted on tacos and ice-cream sundaes, Beatty’s menu choices for the evening.
