The California Gubernatorial Recall ballots were mailed Monday, Aug, 16, and were sent to the mailing address on the voter’s file.
The Plumas County Elections Office understands the evacuations that are in effect and registered voters that have been displaced, the USPS advised of the following postal delivery changes:
Westwood Post Office mail: Can be picked up at the Susanville Post Office, 65 N. Lassen Street, Susanville Monday – Friday 9am – 1pm and 2pm – 4pm
Chester Post Office mail: Can be picked up at the Red Bluff Post Office 447 Walnut Street, Red Bluff; Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4pm, Saturday 9am – 12pm
Canyon Dam Post Office and Greenville Post Office: Can be picked up at the Quincy Post Office 222 Lawrence Street, Quincy, Monday – Saturday 8:30am – 4pm
Twain, Crescent Mills, and Taylorsville post offices are open for postal services.
If a voter is not in the area, and unable to retrieve their mail at the options provided by the US Postal Service for the Plumas County facilities listed, please contact the election office at (530) 283-6256 or email [email protected] as to the other options available to receive their ballot for the Sept. 14 election.
Plumas County Elections is working diligently to make sure everyone receives their ballot. “We understand and are trying alleviate some of the anxiety and frustration that our community is dealing with at this difficult time,” said County Clerk Marcy DeMartile. “Our team, like many others, is here to help and assist in the process.”
