Red flag warning tonight through Sunday
The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for dry lightning potential tonight and Sunday throughout Plumas County. According to the warning, “given the very hot and dry weather recently, any lightning will likely result in high probability of ignition.”
Residents and visitors are urged to use extra caution and be vigilant. While the red flag warning is currently only issued through Sunday, the remainder of the week is forecast to be hot.
