Rehearsals underway for Star Follies; tickets go on sale Oct. 5

The Quincy Star Follies is back with a mission in mind! After a 2.5-year hiatus, the show continues with a cast of 70 community members, 22 Plumas County K-12 students and 34 Feather River College students gracing the stage. Being the 10th Quincy Star Follies (we began in 2011), we are bringing back many of our fan favorites, from at least a decade of Follies shows, and some new dances to dazzle and delight you!  This is a family-friendly show and people of all ages will enjoy music and dance, performed by familiar faces! For those of you who are new to the Quincy Star Follies, this show is the premier “friend-raiser” of the Feather River College Foundation whose aim is to both support the mission of FRC by raising money for student scholarships and college programs.

The Quincy Star Follies will be held Oct. 28 and 29 at the Plumas Sierra Fairgrounds with two shows each night at 6 and 8 p.m.. There will be a food and beverages (including beer and wine and a special signature drink!) available ala Quincy Provisions. Tickets for the Star Follies go on sale starting Oct. 5 at Quincy Provisions and are available online at www.frc.edu/foundation. There may be tickets available at the door, but best get them ahead of time, this show is quite popular and often sells out. If you bought tickets 2.5 years ago and still have them, you are welcome to exchange them at Quincy Provisions for this year’s tickets NOW, until Oct. 10.  After the tenth, they will be on sale only.

The Feather River College Foundation is extremely grateful for the kindness and generosity of the Plumas County Community and what better way to celebrate, than to sing and dance alongside our local youth and college students who come from near and far to enjoy our mountain home.
