Reminder: Vaccine clinic today; 150 walk-in slots available

Plumas County Public Health is holding a vaccination clinic at the fairgrounds in Quincy today. There were 300 total doses of the Moderna vaccine available and 150 appointments were made on the state’s MyTurn portal — leaving 150 shots available for those 18 and older without an appointment. (Because this is Moderna, those under 18 aren’t eligible. Only Pfizer is approved for those 16 and 17.)

The available appointments begin at 9:30 a.m., with the last appointments at 12:30 p.m.

It’s a first-come, first-served basis for the walk-ins.
