The Plumas County Republican Women Federated closed their club year with a hugely successful collection for their “Sock It To Em” project.

The most requested item at shelters are socks. Members rallied to fill that need with donations of 175 pairs of various sizes of socks stuffed into a 7-foot-long Dr. Seuss stocking to benefit Plumas County Rural Services.

This may seem like a lot of socks; however, it only represents a week’s supply for 35 individuals. So the mission will go on!

In addition, the Plumas County Rural Services van was stuffed with various other donations, including blankets and winter wear.
