The Indian Valley Riding and Roping Club is well known for the annual Silver Buckle Rodeo, which draws large crowds to the small town every summer since 1949. In 2001, the Junior Rodeo was added to their annual calendar, helping promote local tourism, boosting local economy and keeping cowboy way of life alive. But there is a whole lot more to this club that makes it a equine lovers dream!

Nestled in the mountain town of Taylorsville, and steeped 74 years in its history, the Indian Valley Riding and Roping Club is determined to keep tradition alive while bringing some modern day fun into the arena.  For its members, the club has an array of fun events, including gymkhanas, competitive trail riding, roping, horse camping, and a chance to connect with fellow horse crazy people. They welcome all ages and skill level, and have programs for everyone in the family, from Summer Series(for all members), to scholarship opportunities and a Rodeo Queen program for FRC and high school students.

Membership is currently open, and forms can be found online at taylorsvillerodeo.com, or in person at one of their monthly meeting. Meetings are typically held the first Wednesday of the month, March through November.
