Rotary announces music contest winners

After two  years of dealing with COVID, including holding the competition last year on Zoom, the Quincy Rotary Club was able to conduct an in-person Music Contest. The six contestants impressed the judges and audience with their musical selections and talents.

Rotarians Terry Gallagher, Angela Elliott and Karen Pierson judged the contest, while Darren Beatty and Jim Boland assisted with the scoring, timing of musical selections and tabulating results.

First place was awarded to Fisher Clark who played an inspiring piano selection. Second place went to Emma Beatley who also played the piano, and third place went to Lilah Washurn who played the mandolin. Fisher Clark now advances to area competition. The winner of that event will compete at the Rotary District 5190 Conference held at Harrah’s Lake Tahoe.
