Rotary Area speech and music contest winners announced

Quincy Rotary hosted the Area Speech & Music Contest this weekend representing Quincy, Portola, Greenville and Loyalton.

Quincy’s Fisher Clark placed first  in Music and Quincy’s Savannah Little placed first  in Speech! Portola’s Naomi Canseco’s speech placed second.

All competed before a packed Quincy Methodist Church. Terry Gallagher, Stephanie McMillan and Kendra Fredricksen judged. Karen Pierson was the Contest Coordinator and Dwight Pierson added the scores. Jim Boland was the time-keeper. The two first-place winners move on to Rotary’s District Contest finals in South Lake Tahoe.
