School district announces more cases and a classroom closure
Plumas Unified School District announced this afternoon, Oct. 3, that school officials received confirmation of a positive case of COVID-19 associated with the Quincy Special Day Preschool Class at the Pioneer campus. As a result, the Special Day Class, which is on the same campus, may also be impacted. At this time, the district plans to close the classrooms until contact tracing and investigation is completed. An update will be provided as soon as possible.
In addition, the district received confirmation of a positive case at its Taylorsville campus that just opened last Monday and was visited by the state superintendent of schools. Impacted families associated with the grade levels will be contacted by Public Health or the school site.
