Senior Life Solutions at PDH recognized for its work
Plumas District Hospital launched a Senior Life Solutions program in March of 2021 with the hope of providing mental health support to aging community members in Plumas County.
This year, Senior Life Solutions evaluated over 108 programs for their “program of the year.” This is a special recognition honoring the accomplishments of Senior Life Solutions programs across the country. To qualify for this recognition, programs must be nominated for their achievements in dedication to excellence in care, compliance and community.
The Senior Life Solutions program at Plumas District Hospital is one of two program-of-the-year finalists. This achievement is especially significant because the program had been established only a year prior. During that year, the Senior Life Solutions program at Plumas District Hospital was open for 10.5 months, while other programs had 12 full months to qualify for the nomination.
Toni Oldani, a Regional Director for Senior Life Solutions, said, “What Ericka (Thompson), Heather (Caiazzo), and Wendy (Stewart) have achieved is outstanding. Starting a new program in a new community, can be daunting and the three of them have taken it in stride and have worked together to bring a much needed service to the Quincy community. I am excited to see the continued success of the program and of the patients who attend.”
JoDee Read, CEO of Plumas District Hospital, expressed her gratitude for the Senior Life Solutions team. “I am beyond proud to provide this service to the residents of Plumas County. We are incredibly blessed to have the talents of Ericka, Heather, and Wendy leading this program. It is because of their diligent efforts to deliver outstanding care that our patients have been positively impacted. This care experience is what makes PDH so special.”
