March 8
Not your playground, not your playthings
6:09 a.m. Chester. A caller reports two people trespassing around Collins Pine. The vehicle appears stuck on the haul road behind the plant. One subject is out of the vehicle but is refusing to stop for employees, wearing all black. It is a white 4-wheel drive SUV. 6:17 a.m. The information was sent to CHP. 6:41 a.m. CHP is on the scene requesting a deputy response. 7:08 a.m. Both subjects were given a trespass warning from all Collins Pines property and land.
Total loss
8:23 a.m. Meadow Valley. A caller reports her parents’ house burned down last night on Bucks Lake Road. No one was inside but she doesn’t believe anyone can access the residence due to snow. Meadow Valley Fire was paged. 8:39 a.m. Quincy Fire was paged. 8:42 a.m. Quincy Fire canceled. 9:24 a.m. Per Fire, the house is a total loss, no further response is needed. 12:03 p.m. The information was sent to the Building Department.

8:25 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports a manhole cover is raised up and causing a hazard on Lee Road at Madden Plumbing in East Quincy. The information was sent to County Roads.
Lessons
9:21 a.m. Portola. A caller reports while dropping his child off at pre-school, the people that live across the street caused a verbal argument over the snow removal and multiple vehicles parked blocking the removal. 9:25 a.m. The caller has made multiple complaints with the City with no help received. The caller will call when the argument is happening in the future and was referred to City Hall again for snow removal problems.
Finding the potholes
9:27 a.m. Portola. A caller advises she is elderly and needs assistance with snow removal on Sixth Street. The City of Portola advises they have no resources available. 9:29 a.m. Dispatch is trying to find helpers. The city recommended Portola Resource Center. There is no working number for them. 12:46 p.m. Additions were made to the resource list in dispatch.
Heavy load
9:28 a.m. Quincy. A caller requests assistance shoveling her roof on Redberg. 10:54 a.m. Information was provided to volunteers.
New vehicle woes
10:37 a.m. Beckwourth. A caller reports a vehicle off the road in a non-injury accident. They will need a tow for a newer white Jeep truck. The information was given to CHP.
In the dark
11:47 a.m. Twain. A caller advised he is without electricity and the landlord is refusing to fix the problem. The caller also needs assistance with snow removal that the landlord is refusing to do. 11:58 a.m. A Sgt. advised it is a civil matter. The caller was given the number to social services for further assistance.
Unbridled brindles
12:17 p.m. Portola. A caller reports two loose dogs running in the road on Hwy 70. The caller was transferred to CHP. The two dogs are tan and brindle-colored Pit bulls.
Fingers crossed
1:18 p.m. Quincy. A caller requests to speak to an officer regarding dangerous snow at her residence and the property manager is refusing to assist. 5:12 p.m. A deputy contacted the caller and advised a crew will be there tomorrow to assist with snow. No crime with the property manager-the caller was referred to corporate.
Up on the rooftop
1:28 p.m. Delleker. A caller requests assistance removing snow from her roof on Bella Vista Drive.
Playing in the street
1:34 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports a medium-sized black dog running after cars. The call was transferred to Animal Control.
Smokey
1:57 p.m. Portola. A caller reports smoke coming from her kerosene heater. Eastern Plumas Fire was paged. 7:34 p.m. Snow came off the roof and blocked the vent to the heater. Assistance complete.
Pneumonia Gulch
3:39 p.m. Quincy. A caller requests assistance with shoveling his roof. An elderly neighbor on Monte Vista needs assistance too. The information was added to the list in dispatch.
Out of school
5:02 p.m. Quincy. A male subject was cited in a school parking lot on charges of probation violation and driving with a suspended license from a DUI.
Too cold for this
6:15 p.m. Quincy. A caller reports someone is trying to kick in his door. A possible subject was named. There are two or three subjects with no weapons. 6:18 p.m. The information was given to the deputy in dispatch. 6:42 p.m. Deputies contacted all parties who agreed to keep the peace for the night.

8:35 p.m. Lake Almanor. A caller reports his wife is having an episode, throwing items, and opening all the doors and windows, no weapons. 8:39 p.m. The parties were dealt with earlier. 9:07 p.m. A deputy contacted the parties and the female agreed to keep the peace for the night.

Snow, everywhere snow
7:52 a.m. Meadow Valley. A caller requested assistance with snow removal on his roof on Spanish View.
Top-heavy
8:03 a.m. Quincy. A caller requests assistance with snow removal at his residence on Lawrence, has a trailer and is 75-years-old and is unable to do it himself.

8:45 a.m. Quincy. A caller reports shovels were stolen out of his truck while parked at the hardware store. There is video surveillance at Mountain Building.

8:56 a.m. Chester. A caller requests assistance with snow removal at her residence on Fourth. She has snow up against her window that she cannot remove.

10:50 a.m. Portola. A caller reports needing assistance with removal of 3-4 feet of snow on the apartment complex on Third. The corporate office is trying to get help but are unable to get the whole complex done.

The information was given to CHP to check the area. 1:44 p.m. A male subject was arrested on a charge of driving under the influence on First Ave.

12:26 p.m. Delleker. A caller requested assistance with snow removal off his roof on his modular home. He is disabled and unable to do it himself.

2:03 p.m. Chester. A caller requests assistance with snow removal for her and her husband, they are in their 80s.

4:37 p.m. Graeagle. A traffic accident occurred on Hwy 70 and Parkers Road. It is a head-on collision with injuries. Graeagle Fire and EPHC were paged. 5:35 p.m. One patient was transported to Renown.
Change of heart
4:43 p.m. Quincy. A caller has questions regarding a civil issue. Someone gave her a truck and now the person wants the truck back. Civil procedures were provided. Nothing further is needed.
One problem solved
10:22 p.m. Quincy. A caller requests assistance with shoveling snow that has slid off her roof and is blocking the back door to the house. The caller does not need immediate assistance tonight but requests assistance tomorrow. The caller is elderly and lives alone.
